Only a little over one day to go before the ‘official’ due date is here!!!. We were told in our birthing class that only 10% of babies are born on their due dates.
Allegra is finally realizing that she has a belly protruding outward. Throughout the last month, she continued to stand in doorways thinking that people could pass by, or try to sneak behind someone only to belly blast them out of the way. Once she scooted behind Granny Winny in the kitchen and launched poor granny forward with a yelp of surprise and arms flailing to keep her balance.
I understand that the newest pictures look like they were taken at weird angles that make her tummy appear to be oddly off-center. That is because her stomach is way off center. It looks like she put on fake preggo pad and it slipped around to the side. The pregnancy books stated that it is best for a pregnant woman to lie on her left side. Allegra took that to be a commandment from God, and ONLY slept on her left side for the past 8 months. By the looks of things, I think she leaned to the left while eating, showering, and waiting in a line, and only turned left while driving.
Allegra is finishing this pregnancy in the same way she started it….sick. There is a bug circulating this area that causes a sore throat, fatigue, and a fever. Nolan had it. Numerous students and teachers had or currently have it. Now we fear that Allegra may have caught it. I am not sure if sore nipples were part of the bug, I will have to ask Nolan in the morning. The ‘catnap’ picture was taken today around 4:00pm. Crazy Cat Lady never takes a nap, but today she was not feeling well. When I went to go check on her, this is what I found.
As of now, there are some sporadic minor contractions. I am thinking this weekend may be when things really get interesting.

Good luck Allegra! Hope all goes well. In the napping picture, you look great in "cat wool" and Kev, don't forget to buy a nice, cold 6-pack of "shut the hell up."
Just wait Allegra.. The day will be here.. And all you will think about is the little one and how much you love the baby. And it was worth all the sick days.. Then its the diapers and feedings.. The Hoffbeck
